Hi and welcome to the official website of Gary K!

My name is Gary Kenton. I am a solo keyboard player and vocalist, and have been involved in the entertainment world all my life.

I specialise in playing MOR music, catering for most ages. I am able to play ballroom and sequence dancing, popular songs from over the last 100 years, rock and roll, disco, cheesy music, party songs, love ballads, country music and much more.

My regular work takes me to many of the leading hotels in Cornwall, playing for coach parties, but I also take Masonic/Rotary functions, golf clubs, social clubs, birthdays, weddings and much more.

I pride myself on being able to cater for most audiences. I don’t specialise in any particular type of music, this enables me to entertain almost anyone over the age of 20. The only one I’m not generally happy with is young children and teenagers!

My years of experience enable me to offer a professional service to all my clients. I don’t profess to be the greatest singer or keyboard player in the world, but I do play all the right notes/chords and I do sing in tune! I use quality equipment to produce a full sound without being loud. I dress properly, turn up in time, and overall present a totally polished service that is efficient and effective.

The volume of entertainer’s performances is a major source of annoyance on both sides. Most entertainers set up behind their speakers, therefore they are the last person to hear the sound. My solution for this is simple. I place my speakers behind me on either side and point them towards me, thus I hear the sound louder than anyone in the room. Many times I have been complimented on the fact that the audience can hear the music at a reasonable level but can still talk. Being told to ‘turn it down’ is, for me, an extremely rare occurrence!
